Domain activation has temporarily been disabled, meaning that all new domains (either registered directly at nl.ae or by using the domain API) will automatically be active and online.

The activation system will once again be enabled in the near future. We will post another news item may this process have been completed.

A new and amazing API has been released after intensive testing.

Our Webmaster API allows webmasters to integrate our free domain service into their service or website.

Advanced knowledge of PHP is required to integrate everything succesfully, check www.api.nl.ae for a step by step guide.

Since we give you all the code there are a lot of possibilities and things you can do with our API. We will however give some examples to give you a general idea. If you run a free forum service for example you could integrate our service to (automatically) give every forum a short domain name. Or, you could give every member of your site his own profile domain. There are a lot more ideas we can think of, just be imaginative!

New address protocols have been added: mailto://, mailto:, irc://, callto: and callto://.

This means that you for example can create a domain which will automatically open your IRC channel, call to a phone number or mail to a specified address when visited.

It is now possible to start your domain redirect URL with one of the following:

2. http://
3. https://
4. mailto://
5. mailto:
6. callto://
7. callto:
8. irc://
